We research family ancestors to prepare family trees for clients, to find the townlands their ancestors once called home and to bring context to the names, dates, and places by writing their stories.
 We can also create a GEDCOM file of the family tree which the client can upload to the likes of Ancestry.com, MyHeritage, Findmypast so that they can carry on with their own research.  Â
Do we offer a Free Consultation?
Yes we do. We will never propose or accept a commission unless we know we can help you achieve your goals. We need to know what you are looking for and what information you already have. We will then assess the scale of the project and propose a price to you.
Sometimes a client is not aware of what information could be gleaned from the historical records available. For example, the availability of Griffith’s Valuation maps of the mid-19th century can pinpoint the exact location of ancestral homesteads.
When you provide us with the information you have and what your goals are, we will undertake an initial search free of charge to satisfy ourselves that we can help you.
If you are making an application to the Foreign Birth Register, we can make the process stress free by finding and applying for all the required certificates on your behalf, and working with you every step of the way through the application process.Â
How much do our services cost?
The time it takes to complete each research project varies from client to client but our standard hourly rate is €75 and daily rate is €500. With 30 years of experience in research, we spend over €2000 a year on subscriptions to depositaries of original records and old newspapers to ensure our research is comprehensive and efficient.
For Foreign Birth Register Application, each assignment is unique so our prices vary. Typically, up to eight birth, marriage, and death certificates must be researched and gathered to support a successful Foreign Birth Register Application. We will do all of this for a fee of €750.
For first time passport applications, our fee would typically be around €350.
