MyHeritage.com & our Gedcom files

MyHeritage.com is another powerful online genealogy programme to which you can upload our GEDCOM files. By April 2023 it had over 19 billion records its OCR and  AI technology can search on your behalf.

In addition to searching records, it will also search other trees uploaded by members (Ancestry and Findmypast do this too), who may have already completed some detailed research on common ancestors or people of interest. If you don’t know how MyHeritage works, here is a short video.

How to invite others to collaborate on your tree in MyHeritage.com

Our 1901 Irish Census GEDCOM files by location  are an ideal starting point for local history, genealogy or school groups looking to research their town or townland. You can upload the file to MyHeritage.com and then invite the other group members to collaborate researching all those on the GEDCOM file.

Here is a short video on how to invite friends and project collaborators to join your research group. Choose your own settings and be mindful of how many people can make data entries to your tree.
